Fighting game enthusiast forum built using Invision Community.
Invision Community does not support on-the-fly theme switching, so I made a custom theme switcher using JavaScript and slick.js.
The idea was to have forum themes based on stages from different fighting games. When a user selects a stage from the menu the theme is changed automatically without the need to reload the page. Theme preference is saved for next time with a browser cookie.
The default forum layout was modified heavily to give the forum an old-school feel, and all themes were created from scratch. Customizations were done almost entirely with CSS.
Site includes Patreon integration - subscribers gain access to exclusive themes and additional site features.
